The Amazon Jungle supplies 20% of the world’s oxygen, it represents over half of the planet's remaining rainforests and comprises the largest and most biodiverse tract of tropical rainforest in the world, with an estimated 390 billion individual trees divided into 16,000 species.

The Amazon forest is being burned and chopped down at the most alarming rate in recent memory, in 2019 the deforestation rate is equivalent to a Manhattan island, every-single-day.

Over the single month of July 2019, the latest data shows the destruction of more than 1,800 square kilometers, which is pushing the world’s biggest rainforest, knows as the lungs of the world, towards an irreversible tipping point and eroding a globally essential sink for carbon dioxide.
